1. This distribution media (CD or winzip file) "All-in-one" contains the fully functional SaleVendor(r) software package and documentation with fifteen sample multimedia catalogs/web sites created with it (Applications). Salesvendor builds (automaticly generates) and updates any multimedia e-commerce catalog/web site both on CD-ROM and on Internet.
2. Minimum requirements are: WIN95-98-me-nt-2000 based PC, a browser compatible with HTML4 (InternetExplorer4.0 or higher as Netscape is not supported due to its severe limitations) and the TCP/IP protocol installed. Browser proxy and offline operation must be disabled. NOTE: Under WIN-nt/2000 the directory c:\winnt\temp (or the correspondent one) must have write permits. Usually the user Administrator has those rights and can set them up for you.
3. To use this software with the included catalogs and/or install it on your hard disk, please, choose one of the following procedures based on the distribution and media type you have got:
a) CD-ROM with setup.exe: Insert the CD into your CD-ROM drive and wait a few seconds until it will show you a menu to chose the proper action to perform. If your CD-ROM drive is not enabled to autoexecute you can run manually the Setup.exe file from the root folder of the CD. Or
b) CD-ROM with run.bat: The autorun.inf should start automatically after a few seconds. If the CD drive is not enabled for autoexecution, please, run manually the run.bat from the root directory of the CD. The main catalog will be displayed and will work on CD only without any files installation to your hard disk. To obtain faster execution you can copy manually the salesvendor directory to c:\, remove read only atributes from all files and execute the microweb.exe program in that directory. Or
c) WinZip file media: Extract all the files into a temporary folder on your hard disk by using a suitable decompressing program (WinZip is ok for instance). Run the just decompressed Setup.exe program from the temporary folder and wait for a few seconds until it will show you a menu to chose for the proper action to perform.
4. If you have chosen to install the SalesVendor on your hard disk you can start it each time from the Start-Programs-SalesVendor menu or by simply runing the Microweb.exe from c:\SalesVendor directory.
5. If you are operating the demo/trial version of SalesVendor you should be aware of existence of the smkpmo-xxxx where xxx=catalog_name files in your windows directory (the one pointed by environment's windir variable). If the files are not present there, search for it in SalesVendor's distribution media (Keys directory) and copy them. The presence of this type of file allows you to modify the product databases to adapt it to your needs. You should also be sure that the microweb.txt file is present in the windows directory. These key files can only be distributed in the SalesVendor's demo software and must not be used for other purposes. You will have to obtain your own, registered & licensed key files to distribute them with your catalog/web site built with SalesVendor.
6. To delete all the copied files (uninstall the SalesVendor from hard disk), please, run Uninstall.exe file from the Start-Programs-SalesVendor menu and follow the instructions on the screen. You can also remove manually the c:\SalesVendor directory by simply deleting it from your hard disk.

10. If, after having correctly followed the preceding steps, the SalesVendor software is still not working, please, verify your browser should not be in the "Off line" mode (see menu File of IE) and the Proxy is disabled (see Tools -Options -Connections -LAN -UseProxyServer=no). It can also be neccessary to uninstall temporarily the eventual other HTTP servers installed in your computer (as MS-PersonalWebServer) to avoid the conflicts with the server included in SalesVendor (see the list at ControlPannel - AppsInstallation).
